BFF Medical Wellness Clinic

About BFF

BFF Medical Wellness Clinic is a membership-based, functional medicine and aesthetics practice focused on proactive health, body composition, and a concierge-level patient experience. We’re a young, growing clinic—high standards, warm vibe, and real opportunities to grow with us.

Role Snapshot

This is not a traditional emergency services role. As a Paramedic (Proactive Health Coach), you’ll guide patients through their wellness journeys, help them feel at ease, and—when appropriate—use your paramedic skill set (e.g., IV starts, injections) in a planned, proactive setting. You’ll orchestrate clinic flow, clearly communicate our membership model, and keep visits smooth, timely, and reassuring.

What You’ll Lead

  • Patient Flow & Experience: Welcome, orient, and guide patients; keep schedules tight and visits smooth; set a calm, confident tone.

  • Proactive Coaching: Encourage healthy habits and adherence to care plans; explain membership benefits, processes, and next steps.

  • Hands-On Support (Proactive Use of Skills): Perform injections and IV starts within clinic protocols; prep rooms and supplies; maintain clean, orderly spaces.

  • Communication & Follow-Through: Provide clear verbal updates, document accurately, track tasks, and close loops without drop-offs.

  • Operational Rhythm: Support opening/closing routines, daily checklists, product/stock cues, and event or review initiatives.

  • Privacy & Professionalism: Model HIPAA awareness and uphold high standards in every interaction.

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are

  • Confident & Composed: Lead conversations, reassure anxious guests, and stay steady under pressure.

  • A Standout Communicator: Clear verbal skills, active listening, professional vocabulary, excellent bedside manner.

  • Adaptable & Quick-Learning: You pick up new systems, protocols, and coaching frameworks fast.

  • Detail-Obsessed Finisher: You follow through, document accurately, and prevent small misses from becoming issues.

  • Curious & Growth-Oriented: You ask great questions, seek feedback, and enjoy expanding scope as the clinic scales.

  • Passionate About Wellness: You believe in proactive health and love helping people feel their best.

Qualifications (California / ALS Readiness)

  • Current California Paramedic License (EMSA) or NREMT-Paramedic with plan to obtain CA licensure promptly.

  • AHA BLS (required) and AHA ACLS (required); PALS preferred.

  • Demonstrated competency with IV starts and intramuscular/subcutaneous injections in a non-emergent, protocol-driven setting.

  • Comfort educating patients, explaining a membership program, and guiding proactive health behaviors.

  • Strong verbal communication, professionalism under pressure, and meticulous documentation/follow-through.

  • Tech-comfortable (EMR/scheduling, online forms, digital payments, texting platforms).

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Note: This position emphasizes patient experience and proactive support—not emergency response—and operates within clearly defined clinic protocols.

Growth & Opportunity

  • Skill Building: Training on our membership program, patient-journey playbooks, and service education.

  • Scope Expansion: Opportunities to own initiatives (events, reviews, onboarding, body-composition check-ins).

  • Career Pathing: As the clinic grows, potential to advance into lead or coordinator roles based on mastery and professionalism.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: Full-time, with Saturday availability preferred.

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly, commensurate with experience.

  • Perks: Structured training, supportive team culture, staff rates on select services.
